Worked great when I first got it but I squeezed too hard while forcing air out and now the ratcheting mechanism doesn’t work properly. It’s a good product but be careful with it.

This is a great tool for making beef jerky. It takes a little practice on how much to pull the handle but after alittle practice it makes the job of making jerky so much easier.

Love it. The unit works just as described. Makes jerky in all sizes just using ground beef, turkey, etc. Highly recommended if you like jerky because it really saves you money to use ground beef (especially when it’s on sale). And, it tastes great!

I read the other reviews and some people had trouble with this product, so before I used mine I sprayed the inside with nonstick spray. it worked great and was fun and quick. When I took it apart to clean it, I noted that it actually had arrived broken. where the metal bar was attached to the plastic, the plastic was cracked. I figured this would become unsanitary pretty quick and there was no way to fix it, so I had to return it. I would buy the same one again, but only if I could look at it first to make sure it wasn’t broken.

This has got to be the easiest way to make jerky! Very easy to clean too! Just mix the very lean hamburger with the seasonings, scoop the mix into the cylinder of the gun, and start clicking away! Jerky made with hamburger doesn’t have to marinate and is easier to chew.
