I bought these to clean our toaster oven, which we’ve had for about two years now and it has never been cleaned. On the exterior of the oven the Eraser did a great job, moving random spots and grease no problem. It also removed almost all of the grease splatters from the door, both inside and out. Where the Magic Eraser failed miserably was on the inside of the oven. It removed maybe 5% of the grease spots on the metal and rack and that was with quite a bit of pressure, so I gave up on trying to clean out the inside, I’ll try some oven cleaner on it a little later. The pad also doesn’t seem to hold up as one would expect. With the 15 minutes I spent cleaning the toaster oven the Magic Eraser began falling apart, literally! The part I had used most was leaving little pieces all over the place. I was going to keep it and reuse it but I ripped it while rinsing it out so I just threw it in the trash. Don’t expect miracles out of the Magic Eraser, but it’s an OK alternative to harsh chemicals.

We purchased a foreclosure home that looked like it had never been cleaned. We managed to clean the entire house, except the linoleum floors in the kitchen. I tried numerous (and sometime expensive!) cleaners of all kinds and nothing would remove the years of ground in dirt. Decided to try this product. A little of time on my hands and knees scrubbing and the floor was clean. Only draw back is the item doesn’t last long. After about 3 square feet of scrubbing, the pad was gone and I had to use another one. Went through many of them, but our floors shine and there is no longer any sign of the previous seller’s grime.
I would recommend this product to anyone. Just beware, they do not last very long.

By only using water with the erase, I could clean 90% of my room. It’s very easy to use… I also clean my sneakers with it.
Beware that it will mildly stretch the surface.

I bought an old house with a cast iron, porcelain glazed tub. No amount of scrubbing, cleansers, or elbow grease could get out gray and brown cemented discolorations (grime and old dirt). I was looking into spending several hundred dollars on getting the tub reglazed.
I finally used the magic eraser I had forever in my drawer – no exaggeration, two swipes and the marks and film are completely gone! My 65-year old tub looks BRAND NEW! Sparkling white and CLEAN.
Yes, these things wear out quickly, but well worth 10 times their weight in gold.

I used one of these to clean out my heavily scuffed kitchen sink. It worked well. The magic eraser, some water, and a lot of scrubbing brought out the sink’s original white finish. However, by the time the sink was clean the magic eraser was pretty much completely destroyed. I wore holes through it in the places where my fingers were in contact with it. It shriveled up and disintegrated.
I tried another one on our grungy bathtub. Same story. The magic eraser got the tub much cleaner, but didn’t survive to be of any use again. Based on my experience with the pad wearing out while cleaning the sink, I tried cutting it in half with a pair of scissors beforehand to try and maximize the amount of scrubbing I got out of one pad. I think this might have helped a bit, but it’s hard to tell for sure.
These seem to work pretty well for hard-to-clean marks on hard surfaces. However, given how expensive they are and how quickly they wear out, they probably will never be the first thing I try.
