Purchased this mixer to replace a 10+ year old Kitchen Aid mixer. This mixer does a very nice job & overall I’m glad I purchased it. I gave it only 4 stars because of a potential safety issue – the second time I used this mixer I forgot to plug it in – I’d pushed the ON button & the speed button before I realized that it wasn’t plugged in & when I plugged it in the mixer immediately began to run (spattering cake batter everywhere!). I’m thankful that there weren’t any little grandchildren’s fingers reaching in the bowel to steal a taste of the batter when the mixer automatically started up! It seems to me that it would be much safer if the mixer automatically reset itself to OFF when it’s unplugged.

We have only had this mixer for a few days and have used the whisk attachment only. It did a fine job. My observation is that the mixer is noisy, but not unbearably so. I will write another review after I have used the product more extensively.

The reason for writing this review is that we were encouraged on the information page to purchase the whisk attachment, so we did. The shipping cost for it was nearly as much as the whisk itself. The problem is that the mixer is shipped with a whisk in the carton. Now we have this extra whisk, which we could return, but then we will have paid the cost of shipping it back in addition to the cost of shipping it, which is more than the whisk is worth.

I believe that Amazon owes us a refund of the entire amount of this order. Of course, it is virtually impossible to find a way to talk to anyone at Amazon so I am writing this out of frustration.

considering the cache from the brand name I did expect better. Unfortunately I lost my old Sunbeam hand mixer from an era when a brand name meant something.. This one seems ok since I won’t use it much.. but the eject button is indeed flimsy.. and while all tarted up with all the whiz bang electronics, they interfere with the grip and overall the handle does not rest in the hand quite the way it should.

also the beaters on my old Sunbeam had some heft to them.. while these appear a bit anemic considering the price,,, OK for now and then use but over all quality of most everything we buy has slid downhill over the past decade… PRICE has been GOD too long at the expense of quality. Just because it beeps and blinks does not necessarily make it better.

I’m very pleased with this hand mixer. I bought it because Cuisinart appeared to have the best reviews and it certainly lived up to my expectations. I’ve only used it once but my blueberry cheesecake was the best I’ve ever made. It came out perfect.
