My daughter contacted me on Sunday and asked that I order three different sunscreen products from a drug vendor. I tried and they didn’t have two of them. I got on amazon and ordered them. Amazon uses the lowest price algorithm to select the vendors, I guess. Anyway, three different vendors were selected and I used expedite shipping (a few business days). The cost of each item was about the shipping and handling on them. One came in on Wednesday, one on Thursday, and one on Friday at 3 PM. I was pulling out the drive to meet my daughter’s family at the beach and we decided to check the mailbox again. The products are great! One vender was excellent! One okay! One lousy when looking at due date performance! I would have really been upset if it had come after we left for the beach vacation.

I really would have preferred all of the items to be shipped from one location (the same [..] company) and I probably would have saved significantly on the handling costs (the sum of the local optima is not necessarily the total optimum). I figured 5 business days is not equal to 2-3 business days!

I’ve looked far and wide for non-chemical sunscreen for our baby. I settled on this. It works great, she did not get burned. It is a bit expensive and does go on white, but rubs in with no problem.

this product ranks very high on a sunscreen survey for both uva/uvb rays and doesn’t contain any of the chemicals linked to health issues found in other sunscreens. It’s also great for kids with allergy issues.

My baby got puffy eyes from every sunscreen we tried. The dermatologist suggested Blue Lizard. However, after lots of other expensive bottles we found that California Baby was the only sunscreen that worked for her. We used it only on her face and a less expensive sunscreen for her entire body. A bottle lasted us all summer.
